We can’t express enough how excited we are to bring back Treasure Island for you this year.  As always, we will be dining on great food and continue to feature the $500 Cash Raffle,the  50/50, the Lucky Cork Beverage Pull, and 100’s of gift baskets and certificates that were generously donated by local businesses, community members and hospital partners.As always, we plan to have a great time together.  However, things will be a little different this year as we have to consider the health and safety of everyone.    By implementing a few changes we can accommodate a wide variety of personal choices without leaving anyone out that wants to participate.  We want as many people to be included in the celebration of healthcare that we offer to our community each and every day.  Here is what will be a little different this year:

  1. All bidding will be accomplished through online bidding by using your mobile phone, computer, laptop or tablet.  This means we will no longer have small paper bid sheets on clipboards, nor will you have to search for or share pens.  You will be able to see every available item online and bid once we go live.  When you first bid on an item, you can set a maximum bid or go with the next highest bid increment.  If you are outbid, then you will receive a notification and be able to increase your bid with a simple click!!  If you really love something and don’t want to take a chance on loosing it, then you have the option to “Buy It Now”.
  2. You can pick how you want to attend the event.  With the implementation of online bidding you now have the choice to either attend in-person and join us live at Shelby Fire Hall or attend from the comfort of your home. No matter where you are, everyone will be bidding on the same items at the same time.  Bidder numbers can not be assigned without the purchase of a ticket, therefore ticket’s are required for both options.
  3. According to event regulations and venue capacity, we have chosen to keep our event to a maximum of 200 guests.  Again, this is subject to change based on mandates.  Let’s hope it doesn’t.

We will keep everyone updated on any regulations/mandates that may be required for us to comply with in order to continue to host Treasure Island in-person.
