The Orleans Community Health Foundation welcomed four new board members on February 10th, 2022. We are excited for this new cohort of board members because they come from a diverse background of experience that will greatly help to expand our mission. When meeting each of these candidates, it was obvious that they are grateful to live in a rural community with a healthcare system that is dedicated to serving their healthcare needs.
Gloria Brent, RN of Medina, is the owner of MDS Consultants and Modern Mercantile in Medina. Gloria worked as a registered nurse at Medina Memorial Hospital back in the early 2000’s when she was a traveling nurse. She loves the community of Medina and has wanted to find a way to give back. She is very well versed in the healthcare industry from a financial perspective and understands the importance of rural community hospitals. She is proud to contribute to the success of keeping our rural hospital open and available to the people of our community.
Nicole Goyette of Medina, is the Assistant Principal of Orleans/Niagara BOCES. She is a very active and life-long community member that loves to be involved and promote projects for the well-being of the community. She wants to be involved in the growth of OCH given it is a vital community organization that takes care of so many of our residents.
Matthew Kennedy of Middleport, is a realtor with Keller Williams Realty. Mr. Kennedy remembers his father, Don Kennedy, talk about being a part of the hospital board and how fulfilling it was. He has wanted to contribute more to the community and when this opportunity came to him he felt it was a great way to do that.
Scott Robinson of Medina, is the Director of Marketing and Outreach for OCH. Scott enthusiastically joins the board as a descendant of our founder George Bowen. He plans to work diligently to promote the hospital and the Foundation through his role at OCH and also as a community member that feels it is simply the right thing to do.
